William T. (Bill) Turnbull MCILT (Calgary, AB), Canada –

Risk and Safety Engineer,  has over 37 years in the Transportation Industry  with 18 years as a Driver, Lease Operator, Owner and 16 years in Management, Training and Senior Management. Twenty-three years with a large tank carrier east of the Ontario \ Manitoba Border and West of the Mississippi. Bill is Past President  Alberta Trucking Industry Safety Association (ATISA) now AMTA. Member of Canadian & Alberta Delegation to Australia in 1996 to study the Australian Fatigue Management Program. Other involvement: Chairman ATISA Fatigue Management Program Co- Chairman of Alberta Fatigue Management Program, Member Alberta Wheel Review Task Force. He participated on both the Daccum Committee and the Curriculum Committees for Transportation Safety Director Program offered by Red Deer College. For the past six years, providing consulting, training and auditing services to the transportation and petroleum industry, with emphasis on client compliance to regulatory requirements, specializing in NSC, DOT and facility audits for both Government and Industry. He has written numerous safety and maintenance plans, and, operational procedures for the transportation industry. Third Party Carrier Auditor for Alberta Transportation. Alberta Petroleum Industry Training Service (PITS) Certified Health & Safety Auditor and Petroleum Industry Auditor. Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors Auditor. Licensed Driver Instructor by the Government of Alberta for Defensive Driving, Air Brakes and Instructor Training as well as the Professional Driver Improvement Course (PDIC). Certified Instructor for Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).
